Rank and Merit Badge Advancement in Troop 403

STEPS OF RANK ADVANCEMENT

Scout learns skill requirements listed in Scout Manual.

cout tests skill learned with Assistant Scoutmaster / approved Troop Instructor.

Scout has Assistant Scout Master sign off rank requirement in Scout Manual.

Scout brings Scout Manual to the Advancement Team to be recorded in Troop database. This can be done at every Troop meeting.

Repeat steps above until all rank requirements for the rank are completed. Multiple ranks may be worked on simultaneously.

Scout contacts Advancement Team to validate completion of the rank requirements to be approved for their scout master conference.

Advancement Team notifies Scout Master of the scout’s readiness for his scout master conference.

Scout contacts the Scout Master to schedule his scout master conference and have his manual signed.

Upon passing the scout master conference, Scout brings signed Scout Manual to the Advancement Team to be recorded in Troop database.

Scout schedules his place on a Board of Review (held on the 1st Monday of every month) with the Advancement Team.

Merit badges and rank advancement patches are awarded at weekly meetings; Scout is formally re-recognized for all achievements at quarterly Court of Honor.

Directions to a Scout to prepare for his Eagle Scout Board of Review:

You cannot study for an Eagle Board of Review. You have already spent your whole life preparing for it, making choices every day. One of those choices was to persevere to become an Eagle Scout. We will want to know why.
The best preparation you can make for the Board is to be yourself, at your very best:

<span times="" new="" roman="" ;="" font-style="" font-variant="" font-weight="" font-size="" 7pt="" line-height="" font-size-adjust="" none="" font-stretch="" normal=""> Put some time between your busy day and the Board.
