Troop 403 encourages every scout and adult leader to wear their full uniform proudly. It is a symbol that marks him/her as belonging to a select group. The uniform and the person who wears it is respected in the community. Scouters should wear their uniforms to every troop activity unless otherwise instructed.

A proper Class A uniform consists of:

*Scout shirt with insignia properly placed

*Scout pants (long or short) or denim pants (long or short) in either blue or black

*Scout belt

*Troop neckerchief and slide

*Scout socks (if scout shorts are worn)

*Close toed shoes

*Scout hat or cap (optional)

Scouts and leaders are expected to wear the Class A uniform at all troop meetings, unless otherwise instructed, at all Scoutmaster Conferences, Boards of Review, Courts of Honor, and in transit to/from all campouts or any other troop/patrol functions. Uniform inspections will be conducted at various times throughout the year.

Scouts and leaders can wear the Class B uniform during troop campouts to help save wear and tear on the Class A shirt and at the same time, have a symbol of troop recognition.

A proper Class B uniform consists of:

*Troop 403 "T" shirt or other approved scout shirt (examples: Lost Pines "T" shirt or sweatshirt, OA "T" shirt or sweatshirt, or any staff scouting shirt)

*Scout pants (long or short) or denim pants (long or short) in either blue of black

*Scout belt

*Scout socks (if scout shorts are worn)

*Close toed shoes

*Scout hat or cap (optional)
