Troop 403

Scouting FAQ

  1. What general safety measures are employed by Troop 403 to protect my son when interacting with adults?

All adults working with the scouts are also required to complete two levels of youth protection: BSA Volunteer Leader(s) application with BSA on-line Youth Protection Training program and a Diocese of Austin application with Diocesan Austin Training. Background checks are and will be completed on application for all Troop 403 Leaders.

Troop 403 follows the Boy Scout of America’s Two Deep Leadership requirement at all times. Two adults are to be with the Scouts at all times. This creates a continually safe atmosphere.

Yes, visitors are welcome to come by, visit and talk with the Scouts and Leaders at any time with prior notice due to varying activities from week to week.
